The Diagnostic System JEI’s comprehensive diagnostic system will analyze each student’s test results, pinpoint the student’s strengths and weaknesses, and prescribe an individual study program. VIEW MORE Getting Started Find A Center Find your nearest JEI Learning Center. Find A Center Schedule A Visit Schedule an appointment to take the JEI Diagnostic Test. Find A Center Take A Diagnostic Test A diagnostic test is administered to determine your child’s educational needs. The results will be organized into the Individual Progress Prescription Report (IPPR). Find A Center IPPR Consultation Once the Individual Progress Prescription Report (IPPR) results are available, a JEI Learning Center team member will schedule a free consultation with you to review the results and recommend programs for your child. Find A Center Center FAQs Q What are the operating hours for a JEI Learning Center? A A JEI Learning Center generally opens in the early afternoon on most weekdays. For specific center hours, please contact your nearest location. Q How often do students come to the center? A Students come to the center once a week. The weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long. Q What is the student to teacher ratio? A Classes typically have a ratio of five students to one teacher. Q What does a typical class session consist of? A Each week, students receive one workbook for the subject they are enrolled in. Instructors will review the key concept pages of the week with the students. Q How much homework is there? A Students are offered homework to reinforce concepts taught at the center. JEI recommends daily practice in small doses to increase retention. Q How long does it take to complete homework? A Homework will vary by the child’s ability level. Typically, it will take less than half an hour per day. Q How is student progress measured? A Students will take weekly evaluations that assess their progress on the most recent concepts, but also upon completion of the level, will take cumulative level tests to ensure mastery. Q How much is monthly tuition? A Tuition will vary from center to center. Most JEI Learning Centers are individually owned and operated. Please contact your nearest center for more details. JEI Programs Math English Reading & Writing Problem Solving Math Brain Safari Math 1 Encourage conceptual understanding through easy and small steps. 2 Build a strong understanding of mathematical thinking upon all domains. 3 Strive to build self-learning behavior along with the programmed workbooks and diagnostic system. English 1 Grammar skills are introduced and practiced. 2 The skill is incorporated in a short story. 3 The same skill is practiced using the contents from the short story. Reading & Writing 1 Foster reading comprehension, writing, proofreading, and editing skills. 2 Explores various types of literary genres in each grade level. 3 4-week program that progresses naturally with the introduction of ten fiction and nonfiction books. Problem Solving Math 1 Build basic skills of problem solving. 2 Develop critical thinking and problem solving strategies. 3 Features Common Core type questions. Brain Safari 1 Include seven major critical thinking domains and two creative thinking domains. 2 Develop and enhance overall cognitive ability.
